PULIYASSERI THARAVAD is one of the oldest AristocraticNair tharavad of VallikunnuDesom. There are no written documents which reveal the ancient history of this Tharavad. The oral descriptions made by Karanavars and" Muththassis" are the only source of collection of information about ancient period of this Tharavad. The detailed history of tharavadu is given in the option "HISTORY" . Tharvad members are actively participating in all social reforming programes. Tharavad members have marital relationship with other Aristocratic Nair tharavads of Kerala. This marital relationship led to increase the integrity and prosperity of Tharavad. Puliyasseri have a rich heritage in socio-cultural,political andeducational sectors.
